As I have beheld the relationships around me among family and friends, I've found only two or three couples whose lives I'd rather have in terms of the pair bonding. I WANTED to have Happily Ever After (and children), but by the time I was 40 or so, I had to move on to Plan B. I looked aghast at the husbands around me---brothers-in-law, friends, my own ex--and said, "Listen, girl, it's better to be alone than in bad company." Now studies routinely report that UNMARRIED women more often report satisfaction/happiness than those who are married or in permanent relationships. Go figure! Married men report the highest level of satisfaction, but not their wives. So maybe I wasn't tragically flawed when I left every relationship and ditched a dozen suitors. Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. :-) Bright, educated, attractive, go-get-'em women like you, B-cubed, belong to a vast club. I send you hugs.eaglewoman59https://www.blogger.com/profile/04871418074540249931noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5098469946051959353.post-41401144405854253832011-03-07T10:30:31.816-08:002011-03-07T10:30:31.816-08:00I struggle with this one too...guess I feel like i...I struggle with this one too...guess I feel like if I am feeling sad/upset I deserve to eat something REALLY good...and a lot of it. I feel your pain. The ONLY thing that works for me is to stay VERY busy--which in itself is hard when you are feeling down. However, that is my best advice. Hope others respond as I am sure the majority of us struggle with emotional eating...You will have your happily ever after, maybe when you least expect it.LaReehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16455651160844110269noreply@blogger.com
